Free label maker for A4 sheets — any font, any language

Design reusable label templates, fill them in per label, and arrange everything onto A4 sheets — then export a print-accurate PDF that measures true to size. Nampata works in your browser, runs fully offline, and never asks you to sign up. Print at 100% scale and every label comes out exactly the size you set, in millimeters.

Who it's for

  • Book labels for school books. Make a "Book label" template once (name, subject, grade, phone), then add one label per child and fill in the values. The whole sheet packs and prints on one A4 page.
  • Name tags and name labels. Classroom name tags, conference badges, desk labels, cubby labels — designed and laid out for whichever sticky sheet you have.
  • Spice jar labels and pantry labels. Small, uniform labels that fit your jars; bring a script font for non-Latin names if you need it.
  • File folder and binder labels. Folder tab labels, binder spines, archive box labels — sized to the real tab, printed to match.
  • Organization labels around the home and workshop. Storage bins, resistor bins, cable labels, shelf labels — anything rectangular.
  • Labels in any language. Upload your own .ttf or .otf font (Sinhala, Arabic, Chinese, Devanagari, and more) and it goes through the same font loader as the bundled fonts — measuring and PDF embedding work identically.

How it works

  1. Templates — design a label once: the text lines, fonts, colors, border, padding, and minimum width. Every label of that template inherits the same style.
  2. Labels — add one filled-in label per thing (a child, a jar, a folder). Fill in the values for each line. Duplicate to clone fast.
  3. Settings — set page size (A4 / Letter), printer margin, gutter (blade clearance between labels), and cut guides; manage fonts; and back up or transfer your project — with a full page preview of the sheet as it prints.
  4. Export PDF — print at 100% scale. The on-screen preview and the PDF render the same layout, so what you see is what prints.

Why Nampata

  • Use your own fonts. Ship any .ttf or .otf and the tool measures glyph widths precisely and embeds the font in the PDF — so the label you preview is the label you print. No surprise fallbacks at print time.
  • Exact millimeter sizing. Labels print at their true mm size when you print at 100%. Set the size once; the cutter and the PDF agree.
  • Cutting-friendly layout. Labels are packed with a guillotine-style bin-packer, so every cut is a straight, edge-to-edge line. A configurable gutter keeps blade clearance between labels.
  • Free, offline, no account. Nothing is uploaded; nothing is tracked. Your project autosaves in your browser and can be exported as a .nampata file you own.
  • What you see is what prints. The live preview and the PDF are built from one shared layout — the same measurements, the same fonts.

FAQ

Can I use my own font?

Yes. Upload any .ttf or .otf under Settings → Fonts. It's measured and embedded the same way as the bundled fonts, so labels print in the exact face you chose.

Is it really free?

Yes. No account, no payment, no watermark. Export as many PDFs as you like.

Does it work offline?

Yes. The whole app runs in your browser. Once it's loaded you can design and export with no internet connection.

Will my labels print at the right size?

Yes, as long as you print at 100% scale (not "fit to page"). Labels are sized in millimeters; the PDF encodes the true size.

What languages are supported?

Any language whose font you can provide as a .ttf or .otf. The bundled fonts cover Latin; bring your own for Sinhala, Arabic, Chinese, Devanagari, and the rest.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything stays in your browser. Your project autosaves locally and can be exported as a .nampata file you can move between machines.
